I am having trouble watching my Multifunction Display Tutorial CD-ROM on my computer with Windows Vista™ operating system. How can I watch it on this computer?

Microsoft Windows Vista™ operating system incorporates some new security technologies that might prevent the Multifunction Display Tutorial CD-ROM from playing automatically. In the event that you are having trouble, please use this procedure to launch the tutorial.

1. Insert the Tutorial CD-ROM into your computer's CD-ROM or DVD drive. After your computer recognizes it, Windows Vista™ will display a message similar to this one:

2. From the General Options section, double-click on "Open folder to view files." A window similar to the one below will appear:

3. Double-click on the HTML document called "chapter1". This will launch the MFD Tutorial main menu. It will come up in your Internet Explorer™ web browser. You may get an ActiveX security warning message as the web browser loads. Answer it by allowing the browser to display blocked content. The main menu looks like this:

4. Choose the chapter you want to watch by clicking on one of the round icons on the left (Getting Started, Fishfinder, Chartplotter, Radar.) When the chapter loads up, choose the lesson you want to watch by hovering the mouse over the menu button, and selecting from the yellow menu.

5. Make sure your speaker volume is turned up so you will be able to hear the narration. Enjoy the show!
