The S1000 was initially designed to match SeaStar hydraulic steering systems (the largest install base of hydraulic outboard steering systems across the world). However, the design of the product is such, that it may also be suitable for other manufacturers systems - such as Vetus, Uflex and Lecomble & Schmitt.
The S1000 design parameter is to match hydraulic pumps with a rating of 140cc - 160 cc (8.4 in3), with a typical hard-over-to-hard-over time of 12 seconds. This table lists hydraulic steering systems in this range that are of suitable size to be used with the S1000 autopilot system. To connect one of the specified drives within the table will require the replacement of three hydraulic adaptors that connect to the rear of the helm pump with suitable connectors to fit your system.
